ToiToi book reading and explanation
I read the story “Scarred” by 12 year old Joseph Surrey, the book starts out with a Joseph trying to catch his friend but while he is doing that his friend all of a sudden hits the breaks and Joseph was going way to fast that he couldn’t stop in time and his leg hit the hard cruel metal of a axle and tore through his leg making a big river of blood. The reason why this story is called “Scarred” is because in the story it says that, The pale pink scar is a reminder of the day it happened.
The story was really good because the writer of the story made the story for the intention of people learning the lesson of always being careful when playing around in places you know you could get hurt. The story also made me feel types aways like sad, hurt and also thankful, sad because i’m sad that he hurt his leg, hurt because when he got hurt it gave me a feeling that made me say OUCH! And thankful because I’m happy that he didn’t lose his leg and that it wasn’t that badly hurt.
Scarred was a very good story by Joseph Surrey and I enjoyed it a lot.
