The Monster who roam’s Glenbrae School

My Story was written for 6&7 year old’s. The Monster who Roam’s Glenbrae School

It was a cold, scary, dark morning when everyone was doing their work silently. Everyone was just minding their own business when a loud bang was heard from the hallway, BOOM!, everyone jumped and looked frightened but our teacher Mrs. Raj just shook it off and said,” it was nothing”, a few minutes later, Boom Boom Boom, then a voice was heard “I’m coming for you hahaha”, an evil laugh was let out and everyone in the class was scared at this point. The principal was notified of what was happening and he gave us the instruction to try and make it down into room 1.

As we were all getting ready to make it down to Room 1 we got Mrs. Raj to look in the hallway to make sure that the monster wasn’t waiting for us. As Mrs. Raj was looking in the hallways the monster started creeping up behind her, we tried to tell her that the monster was there but instead we all took that as an opportunity to make it to room 1, so as Mrs. Raj was getting dragged away by the monster we were running to room 1. When we made it to room 1 we started celebrating because we were happy.

Guy where’s your teacher said our Principal
She sacrificed herself for us so that we could make it down here
“Wow what a hero”, said our Principal
“Boom Boom Boom”, we heard it again and then we all saw it at the door of Room 1. Mrs. Raj was also there and she was now a monster too, then the door opened and everyone’s heart dropped, “hahahahahahahahahaha you guys fell for it”, turns out that the monster was Mrs. Ripata and this whole thing was just set up to scare us.

Well, that day was kinda scary but also kinda fun, I’m just happy because Mrs. Ripata got us food because she felt bad. That day was fun and great and we all forgave Mrs. Ripata because of the food. Hopefully, we can have another day like this.

MATHS – How well can Rm7’s students estimate time?

Today for Maths, Mrs Raj wanted to do something fun with us, so we did – How well can Rm7’s students estimate time?.

It was very fun and we learn’t a lot about statistics and how to estimate time.

About 17 students of the 20, got an estimate of time around the 50’s and 60’s, and only 3 students of the 20 got an estimate of time around the 30’s and 40’s.

CyberSmart – AJ – 50/50 Form

Today for CybersSmart we did a 50/50 Google form. We first made our question and after we did that we put 2 answer for people to pick, what we were exactly were aiming for was for the class to get a 50/50 vote but everyone had different opinion’s and more people liked this more and less people liked that, so it was kinda hard to get a 50/50 vote. If you would like to try out my Google form, here it is: MY 50/50 FORM

ToiToi Book Reading and Explanation

ToiToi book reading and explanation

I read the story “Scarred” by 12 year old Joseph Surrey, the book starts out with a Joseph trying to catch his friend but while he is doing that his friend all of a sudden hits the breaks and Joseph was going way to fast that he couldn’t stop in time and his leg hit the hard cruel metal of a axle and tore through his leg making a big river of blood. The reason why this story is called “Scarred” is because in the story it says that, The pale pink scar is a reminder of the day it happened.

The story was really good because the writer of the story made the story for the intention of people learning the lesson of always being careful when playing around in places you know you could get hurt. The story also made me feel types aways like sad, hurt and also thankful, sad because i’m sad that he hurt his leg, hurt because when he got hurt it gave me a feeling that made me say OUCH! And thankful because I’m happy that he didn’t lose his leg and that it wasn’t that badly hurt.

Scarred was a very good story by Joseph Surrey and I enjoyed it a lot.

Embedding different Digital Learning Objects (DLO) on our blog

Embedding learning into our Blogs

By AJ

There are lots of different types of digital learning objects we embed into our blogs on a daily basis.

My favorite thing to share on my blog is my Math presentations

The easiest learning to share is my writing in Google Docs, simply just Copy and Paste it from the Google Doc onto your blog. However, don’t forget to use CTRL + SHIFT + V so that it gets rid of the formatting. You can always change the formatting on your blog.

Take a look at the other ways below

AJ – My Research on Tahuna Torea – Monday 23rd May

Today for our Information writing Miss Woodhall gave us the task of researching about the topic she gave us: Tahuna Torea. As you can see the information in my google draw is not mine, I just linked it up to my google draw because the task was to find out information about the topic and then put it down on a google draw so that when we start our information writing we don’t have to go looking for information and we can just come back to the saved research we have here. Hope you like the work I have put up and I also hope this blog post helps you in some way. Thanks and BYE
